Prepare

Day Two ~
Monday, August 25, 2014 we are reading about 'Prepare'. How's it going? There's a line in reading today's devotional that says, "Think back over your life; how did you prepare for what you are facing today?"

Here's how I prepared ~
I took the time to listen to wise women around me who taught me to stand my ground on biblical principles.  I remember a time when I thought they were just talking and I felt as if I did not need to listen. I am glad my mother and grandmother taught me the importance of listening to women of wisdom. I miss my grandmothers stories, but I have a memory bank of plenty. Every now and then I push play on my mental tape and can hear her voice of instructions clearly. To share a transparent moment...I am currently going through a difficult season in my life. I took a stand on a very controversial area as a Christian woman. As I go through this movement towards transformation I plan to 'walk it out' by teaching women and girls to stand their ground based upon biblical principles, and realize that some times you may stand alone. One must have the confidence within themselves and stand.

  1. Run with passion, purpose and perspective. Hebrews 12:1-3. All the women in Hebrews 11 made it because they felt passionate about their cause. Persistence is passion, the key to passion is purpose. The key to purpose is perspective. V1- consider them, V2- consider ourselves, V3- consider Jesus and keep your eyes on Him!
