Be Real

It's here!!!
Day 8...the number of new beginnings!

We made it! We've made it through the movement towards transformation!

Take a moment and celebrate!

I'm not going to write a lot of words here, but I do want to take a moment to encourage you...

Today is a day of new beginnings for you. Do not forget this moment. Yes, things will come your way, but "press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling you." (Philippians 3:14 NLT)

Do not allow this transformation process to end with you. Reach to your left or to your right and bless someone else in a movement towards transformation.

I love all of you!!! It's your turn to tell and live the life of TRUTH.

Must end with a question ~  Will the real (insert your name) please stand up?

My name is Gail E. Dudley and I'm standing up and on the promises of Christ Jesus!

Roll call...make your declaration in the comment section below.

Struggling?

Day Seven ~

Today is Saturday, August 30, 2014. We are one day away from completing our movement towards transformation. The number seven communicates completion. Isn't is interesting that on day seven the number of completion we are dealing with struggling? The book 'Transparent Moments' was designed this way on purpose.

For many reading this book we have begun to struggle. Day one and two were somewhat easy. We started with 'Making a Life Investment' then moved to 'Prepare'. By day three we dealt with 'Love' and day four we were talking about wisdom. We crossed into deeper waters when we began talking about 'Forgiveness' on day five, and 'Battles' on day six. Now we are struggling.

Allow me to paint the picture. You're in the baby pool learning to swim. It's fun in the baby pool. You're able to stand up with your head out of the water. You begin to walk back and forth the width of the pool. There's a little splashing, but you still manage to keep your head out of the waters and your hair dry. Soon you begin to paddle a little and move your arms. You realize that swimming can be fun...it's just a little water. You begin to jump up and down and even venture to blow bubbles in the water. You decide to move up to three feet of water and push off the side and move your arms, but still able to keep your head above the waters. You look up and see you're now approaching the deeper end. Fear sets in and now you begin to struggle. You begin to fight the waters and have begun to drown...so you think.

Stop struggling. Yes, this is getting real, but you can do it. We are right at the brink of transformation. You've come this far by faith. Keep pushing forward. Yes, it's unfamiliar territory, but you can do this. We're all in this together. Over 2461 women around the world joined the movement towards transformation. Something amazing is about to happen.

Join the conversation. Share how you are feeling. It's day seven and you're one step away from something new.

I'll start! This is Gail Dudley and I am sensing an excitement I cannot explain. I honestly cannot wait to experience a new season. I'm ready for greater! My goal is to keep looking ahead and not look back. If I stay focus on Jesus and what He has for me I will make it. Understand...there may be some struggle ahead, but I'm going for it. I'm pushing forward. My head may be under water at the moment, but I'm about to break forth.

Your turn. How are you feeling?

The Battle Is Not Yours

Day Six ~

Today is Friday, August 29, 2014. We are dealing with our personal battles. Guess what? It's not yours it's the Lords! That's good news!

I purposely waited until the end of the day to make this post. All day I have been in a battle, but the Lord reminded me time and time again that this battle is not mine. It belongs to Him! Several times throughout the day I asked God, "Where are You Lord?" Over and over again He showed me that He was right there fighting this battle.

Here's the truth: The situation did not change, but the way I looked at the situation did change. I begin to read Scripture after Scripture of how the Lord fights all battles for His children. He encouraged me to remove my hands from the situation and to watch Him move. To some degree it appeared I was facing a mighty army, but God quickly showed me that He is the only One I need and He's fighting the battle for me as one of His children.

"He said: 'Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not your, but God's." (2 Chronicles 20:15 NIV)

Question for today ~ What battle are you currently facing? Are you willing to surrender and allow God to fight the battle? Explain. Join the conversation and share in the comment section of this blog.

Forgive

Day Five ~

Today is August 28, 2014. This is the day we shall set aside for forgiveness. Immediately many hearts stop beating. Yes! Let's be free and forgive!

"Father, I forgive ________________________________ and release them into YOUR care."

'Them'....well what about you? I am finding it is becoming easier and easier to forgive others, however, there are still chains attached to me. Those chains are labeled 'unforgiveness' of self. I had to realize forgiveness of self is key to ones complete release from the hands of the enemy. When you hold unforgiveness you are chocking yourself. When you hold unforgiveness you are stopping the flow of the Holy Spirit to move freely. When you hold unforgiveness you are keeping the past fresh.

Failing to forgive (even yourself) no matter how horrible the offense can lead to personal torment. What's taking root is anger, bitterness, fear, jealousy, and depression. You have created a personal prison because of your unforgiveness!  During our transformation it's time to say, "Enough of this!"

Question for today: Ready to unlock the prison doors? When will you forgive yourself?

For me (Gail Dudley) ~ TODAY!

Now that was powerful! I'm feeling lighter already.

Cup of Wisdom

Day Four ~

Today is, August 27, 2014 and we are talking about having 'A Cup of Wisdom'. How are things going? As I read the comments from the 'Love' devotional on yesterday I see God moving. I have received emails and text messages of women sharing how they are having to take a step back and do some soul searching and evaluating as they read each devotional. One lady wrote me saying, "This 'Love' devotional has messed me up."

After reading through all the messages I asked God what was taking place with the women who joined this movement towards transformation. The Holy Spirit spoke clearly and said, "First, it is the anointing that is flowing from person to person as everyone is collectively reading, praying, and applying each days devotional. Secondly, it is because we are on the same page, and have made ourselves available to God so that He can speak to us in those secret places of our heart." Then I was led to Acts 2. We are together in unity. We decided to join this movement towards transformation and we are serious about it. We all desire to be transformed. There's a violent wind ripping away all the stuff that has held up captive. We are getting free from the bondage that has tried to destroy us individually and collectively. There's a shaking. There's a breaking. The chains are falling!

Please do not miss this. This is day four. We are half way through this 8-day devotional. The enemy would want nothing more than for us to throw in the towel. Trust me...it's about to get deep. It will become more painful. Don't quit! Keep reading, keep wrestling, keep pressing. Our greater is coming! We are seeing fruit although we may be wrestling through some of the reading...because we are on this journey together. That is why it is important to share...become vulnerable and make comments on the blog so that others can see they are not alone. Please use wisdom when sharing, but please consider joining the conversation here.

Today's question ~ How will you exercise wisdom in your life?

I'll start...this is Gail Dudley. I will exercise wisdom by remaining silent at times. I'm quick to speak, but it's time that I sit back and be still. Everything I think I do not need to speak aloud.

Your turn....how will you exercise wisdom in your life?

Love

Day Three ~
Tuesday, August 26, 2014 we are dealing with 'Love'. How's it going? I wrote this devotional and today I must be honest and tell all of you that I stumbled while reading. It's amazing how one can write a book, a blog, or an article and return to read it days or months later and get slapped in the face. I am humbled by my own written words. I must yell out, "OUCH!"

I encourage you to write a love letter to yourself as instructed in the section "Walk it out." Put it in an envelope, take it to the post office and mail the letter to yourself. Once it arrives do not open it. Wait until a time you are stressed, weary, worried, feel hopeless, or not loved. At that moment grab the envelope and read your love letter. Trust me it will give you new insight and perspective.

Love is sacrifice. It's about letting some things go.

Here's what I (Gail Dudley) plan to sacrifice ~ I plan to sacrifice my wants and allow the Lord to have His way in my life. Yes, I'm letting go. You? What do you plan to sacrifice?

Prepare

Day Two ~
Monday, August 25, 2014 we are reading about 'Prepare'. How's it going? There's a line in reading today's devotional that says, "Think back over your life; how did you prepare for what you are facing today?"

Here's how I prepared ~
I took the time to listen to wise women around me who taught me to stand my ground on biblical principles.  I remember a time when I thought they were just talking and I felt as if I did not need to listen. I am glad my mother and grandmother taught me the importance of listening to women of wisdom. I miss my grandmothers stories, but I have a memory bank of plenty. Every now and then I push play on my mental tape and can hear her voice of instructions clearly. To share a transparent moment...I am currently going through a difficult season in my life. I took a stand on a very controversial area as a Christian woman. As I go through this movement towards transformation I plan to 'walk it out' by teaching women and girls to stand their ground based upon biblical principles, and realize that some times you may stand alone. One must have the confidence within themselves and stand.

Making A Life Investment

Day 1 began on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Please tell us how you plan to make a life investment into a life of another.

I'll start ~ (this is Gail Dudley)
I plan to speak life into all the young ladies I encounter this day forward. I will share an encouraging word, an empowering word, an equipping word, and maybe even a word of challenge and discipline. Our girls matter no matter race, demographics, nationality, social economic status, language, body size, worldview, or cultural group, and I want the world to know it. I will make myself available to pour into a life of another.
